Specialisations

The subjects around ICT and DT for the education and training sector in the UK is large as it is complex. Include the potentially new subject of ECT and the delivery of any one of the subjects devoid of the other becomes of real consern. Because education and training organisations are frequently very limited on budget we of the ieet are deliberately offering our training programs in a way that not only provides a 'hands on experience', but also the note and resource materials in which any individual can progress from. By carefully selecting the subjects we specialise in, the ieet enables understanding from the novice to advanced levels at affordable cost.

The ieet is concerned with the provision of education to children and young adults from PRIMARY through to FURTHER and HIGHER education spanning ages from 10 to approximately 18 years upwards. We embrace aspects of training and education management and administration as well as 'special needs' education, irrespective of social, economic or language backgrounds.

Education matters to people. It is more than just a public service and provides the very basis for a fulfilled life and a civilised society. Not only does education bring personal fulfilment, but also in a rapidly expanding global economy the value of education and skills cannot be underestimated. Technology then, is undoubtedly a major aspect of our economy and without sound understanding of what it is and does, is leaving many out of touch, or victims of a reduced access to employment.

The future prosperity of the country depends on our collective knowledge and skills base and our constant drive to push the boundaries of knowledge further. And we do this through a single delivery package we call Technology Access Programs or TAPs.
