FAQs

What do you mean by Integrated Education & Employment Trust?
This is a question with two answers..
1) We primarily deal with issues that matter and  the right of an individual to social cohesion and inclusion that is the empowering outcome of an adequate education.  The ieet researches, designs and then implements training programs that inspire and provoke interest where other systems have failed. The way we achieve this is by a genuinely 'hands on' approach to the learning experience.

2) The Employment side of the ieet is the out come of our training or through self employment as a participant to an associated run program.

You say you are a Trust. What does this mean?
The ieet has been set up along strict Trust guidelines. It is a not-for-profit organisation limited by liability. Which mean no active member of staff is in a position to gain more than basic entitlements for any work they undertake for and on behalf of the ieet. Its success is the willingness of the many umbrella associations to work for a common outcome.

Are ieet education programs free?
Our programs are partly sponsored, or wholly paid for through IT based consultancy work. For this reason the ieet will always attempt to provide any of its programs absolutely free at the point of contact for individuals under 13. A charge could inadvertently create exclusion.

What kinds of subject can I expect to participate in?
Any subject that has ICT, ECT or DT references or content. So you could be learning how to mix a word processor with a spread sheet, or even how to make computer games.
You might even consider building your very own robot and write in a work book for future use, exactly how you did so.

Can I keep what I make?
Yes. That is part of the aim and philosophy of the ieet, to ensure interest towards a subject can be sustained outside any classroom environment.

What if I want to do this at a school?
Why not? The ieet can even provide INSET training for teachers and education providers who want to be on top of the latest trends in technology. As well your friends may want to participate alongside you in some friendly challenge.

I have more questions. Where can I ask them?
Go directly to our 'Contact' page and enter your question. You will receive a prompt reply.
